I think it would be good, to review list of features that people want before presenting it to Support.
I suggest everyone who has a wish list either put here now or send it to Weblike (George) to compile the list before sending it off to Support.

Yes. Everything you think of, would help to us to have a great feature.

One thing that concerns me on this feature is a topic that I've read in many forums "Sending emails trough a JAVA server".

What happens: Tomcat does not accept a SSL certificate(used by your smtp server) if is not imported on the server. I'm not very familiar how JAVA server is sending emails, but this is a issue that Support should clarify before starting this.

Everything in the previous response is over my head. But when I installed a runtime for a client to send email through their Exchange server, it was a bitch. I still don't know how it got resolved but there were certificate issues. That's all I know. This feature is not going to fix any of that. Just pointing it out...

Build 2171 added separate SMTP sending option.
I have tested a little this today and seems to send the emails with "SEND .....USING....."
More tests after I clone my apps and integrate the new feature...

What will give steroids to this feature :

the possibility to verify if the email was sent or not.
the possibility to validate the entered SMTP settings.

Never get enough of it 🙂
