Yeah, I have actually completely (95%) integrated the Material Design template from Wrapbootstrap in Aware IM and works great (except mobile, see my comment above). Here is a bit more about it and I have also taken this a step further and also do UX (User Experience) design i.e. IΒ΄m redesigning the Aware IM application to follow the Material Design UI + UX principles. I have only done proof of concept as of now and am currently implementing this in 2 of my own apps + have a client project where this will be done. See below under "Material Design UI/UX" for more information.
Executive Dashboard
I have also created (still working on but is 90% done) a Aware IM application template called the "Executive Dashboard" (might change, am currently talking to Sencha about licensing so there are not issues/problems). The Executive Dashboard application template is modelled from the Sencha/Extjs Executive Dashboard application and I have rebuilt it from scratch in Aware IM (+ added som cool additional stuff π ). Please note, the template is not 100% done and also the site (below) is not 100 done so the signupform doesnΒ΄t work, IΒ΄m missing some images etc..:

Material Design (the information below is taken from an email I sent to a developer so might be somewhat ouf of context)
DonΒ΄t know much about your application but we are working on a new design possibility in Aware IM that might be interesting to you for this app or some other future project. The new design possibility is a full Material Design UI/UX for Aware IM applications. This UI/UX is much more than just a custom theme like the one I shared on the conference, this UI/UX is actually a whole new frontend UI but also way of thinking when it comes to the UX of the application.
Short about the UI/UX:
1) oriented around simplicity and focus meaning the UI controls the users interaction with the system, following the official guidelines created by Google (Material Design). To give you a couple of examples:
a) the app will have a single page view i.e. no tabs (to declutter the UI/UX). This means the user ALWAYS work on /see 1 thing at a time (tabs are of course also "allowed" but well planned out tabs if any).
b) the app will have breadcrumbs on all pages so the users knows where he/she is at all times.
c) the app uses colors inspired by bold color statements, taking cues from contemporary architecture, road signs, pavement marking tape, and sports courts. The app also emphasizes bold shadows and highlights to βemulateβ depth and perspective.
d) the app use colors and nice images to catch the users attention like for example clear red button on light blue UI, nice images here and there in application components etc..
e) the app use notifications in many areas like live notifications in the header (with working autorefresh), displaying a message when a form is saved or when something happens in the systems etc.
f) etc.
2) custom extjs theme and custom html/css/js widgets matching the theme.
3) 100% (or 95%, there are some Aware IM limitations) Material Design principles and design.
Material Design introduction:
For a short intro to MD you can also look at the official Google documentation here: http://www.google.com/design/spec/material-design/introduction.html .
Demo:
To give you an idea of how the app will look and work, here is a demo and the Aware IM app will basically have 100% (or 95%, there are some Aware IM limitations) of the design in this demo and also 100% (95%, there are some Aware IM limitations) of the custom widgets like the ones you see on the dashboard, the form and query design etc.. The breadcrumbs is not activate in this example but there will also be a breadcrumb added to ALL pages:

Scope, cost (approx..) and timeline:
1) Scope: This is a large project and is a complete integration of a bootstrap html template in Aware IM, a complete redesign of ALL Aware IM components, various additional integrations needed to make this work etc.
2) Cost: The cost would be approximately X for the entire project. I know your app is LARGE and has a lof of different modules that might need to be redesigned as well and to estimate the final cost, we will need to take these into account as well.
3) Timeline: Delivery in around 3 months. This estimate is AFTER the initial scope definition etc. i.e. after we get the app from you. Please note that this UI/UX project is not a complete app build, you would have to have the actual app built in advance. To clarify, we would get a BSV like the CRM sample application and then redesign / rework etc. the application with the UI/UX stuff.
Additional services:
We also offer additional services related to this project like matching website if needed, matching email templates for the app if needed, matching reports etc. for the app if needed etc.. All of these additional services ARE NOT part of the initial scope but are additional consulting services we offer. We also offer continual support etc. for the UI/UX when changes needs to be done etc..
