If you want to see it when you are entering a new record create a rule like this IF BO IS NEW THEN BO.Number=MAX(BO.Number)+1 and it should display the next number
customaware Did you actually get this to work Roger. I am trying it but that usage of MAX (and even COUNT) does not work
rbross Mark, yes I did get this to work. I use it when a new inventory item is created. The inventory number if separate from the ID that Aware created for the new record. I have a process that does a ENTERNEW InventoryMaster with InvNo=MAX(InvNo)+1 etc...
