Need a plugin written. Markup image, store in a Pict. attr

I have a BO with an attribute that contains "Man" or "Dog"
A user will click a button and I need to present an image of either a Man or Dog.
A file on the server will be the base .jpg (or .png, etc) .

I need to markup this image using rectangles. between 1 and 20 items.
(like in a paint program, selecting the rectangle tool and draw a mark around the elbow, or head, or ankle)

When done, I need to store that composite image back in the database or on the filesystem, saving the reference path.

I can already present the image on the screen.
I can use the Chrome extension WEB PAINT to easily markup the item, crop it, COPY it, close the plugin, and now I have it in the clipboard, but I still cannot paste it directly into AwareIM.
I am trying to save steps of saving a document, and then in another location having to select a filename to upload.

and its going to make a string encoded version of the image available to the server, but I still have to go through the rather clunky procedure of manually starting the Chrome extension, crop, close the extension, etc.
With a custom plugin written to only
ALLOW MARKUP, CLICK OK, SEND DATA BACK TO AWARE
it seems to be a nicer way to go.

In one project for a [Crooked] prospect, I had to have a solution for them making notes and drawings on images.

And I had to create a workflow to create standalone image from DB to disk, call "EXECUTE PROGRAM" to load up image into a paint program, let them modify it, save it and then reload it back to DB.

If in the next version, we get FILE SYSTEM option for pictures, then that will save you from the DB steps.

This solution is not seamless, but can be done and user must be careful not to mess with the name and location saved, so your program can pick it up in the next section of the process.

In my case, I'm not going to have even more than 5000 images ever in the system.
They are not going to be hi-res, like from a phone, and I'm happy to actually store them IN THE DB, even though I hinted above I could store a path.
It may only be 500 images, but its such a pain the way this client is doing this now, that even the
"edit in a paint program, save it, upload to aware" would be better than what they do now, but I'm pushing for the ultimate integration with this plugin to make it really slick.
