Refreshing the top bar on BO change

Now I know how Sisyphus and Tantalus must feel like. I am soooo close to getting what I want out of the Top Bar, but I can't get it to refresh when the user changes a couple "memory" values (reference attributes) that I put in LoggedInRegularUser.

Tried DISPLAY PERSPECTIVE thinking that a redraw might also refresh, but that didn't work. Just now thought of logging the user out/in, but that's draconian.

Tried the alternate route of the Banner per the suggestion in https://forum.awareim.com/d/9206/9&hilit=refresh+top+bar#p41941 and got nowhere. Processes and commands only seem to display as pop-ups. Tried using a form in a query, but it doesn't remember the current value. Tried the input control, but it won't combo box for reference attributes (and it wouldn't remember the current value anyway since it's just designed for input).

Does anyone know how to refresh the Top Bar via a rule/process?

Is there a qualifier like IN PANEL that I could add? I couldn't find anything in the documentation. Is there an important setting I need?

There is no qualifier. Just need to make sure you have Auto Refresh settings for the BO used in the view.

I checked and it's on, but saving is not the issue. Does anyone have a form (not displayed by a query) outputted to a banner content panel via a process or command? If so, how did you set the banner content panel's output (and I'm not talking about the Output target, which I understand as the output of the output)?

Alternatively (and preferably), is there a way to refresh the Top Bar from a process/rule?

The form is showing in the banner now. Not entirely sure why because I'm using the same settings/rule as before. Two theories:

I cleared a 2nd banner content panel which was somehow interfering with the first (not likely).
I noticed when I cleared that 2nd banner panel, it showed as "Empty" in the lower-right panel, but was unchanged in the main panel of the IDE. Testing proved that it was unchanged. When I cleared it a 2nd time, it took in the main panel and the form started showing properly in the 1st banner content panel. That is a bug.
