Guys, I am not at all technical, so this might be a dumb question.
I am talking to an insurance company that wants to build a 'rules engine' that would be called whenever a claim is received. This rules engine would receive some data from the existing claims system, run the data through this rules engine, and it would return data such as: Maximum Claimable Amount = $100, to the claims system.
So, no user directly accesses the rules engine application. The only operational access would be via a 'call' from a process in the claims system.
Having no technical idea at all, I wondered whether AwareIM could be used in such a way.
If it could, the business people could be trained to modify the 'rules' of the rules engine, without expensive I.T. resources being used.
Just wondering.
