How to automatically pass a parameter to a query?

My brain hurts.....

I have watched the query tutorial which illustrates how to manually pass parameters to a query, but how do you do this without user intervention?

For example, if I have a query of Parent records, how can I use an Operation With Record to call a query showing the child records of the parent record?

Mike, when you have a grid of parent records and you SELECT a row of parent BO, that BO gets loaded into the CONTEXT. Now if you have a button on that row to show the children, then you simply use a simple query that filters all the children for the parent in CONTEXT. Same as if you load parent BO in a form.
Parent being/setting in Context is your default way.

That's what I thought, but its not working as it should.
I think I may have my links snarled up somehow.

It works. Firstly make sure the parent BO is in CONTEXT when you select a row. Display a message and show some data. Once you have the parent in memory, then it's just another query against that parent. Like FIND Child where Child.Parent = ParentBO
This should give you all his children.
