VPs When You Have No Records [Solved (by Workaround)]

I have a series of VP that look like this:

Which I have working fine, but... there is always a but.

If I have Query list that is empty I have nothing to show in the Master Form section which then moves the Detail section up the screen.

So I thought, what if I create a dummy record with an undefined TenantID that I could put in place instead.

Then that is where the problems set in. I have nothing to trigger that dummy form to show.

I had thought about using a static HTML panel in the Master Form space with a series of process triggers to refresh the page.

My start point was to have a Process that sets the LIRU object to control all the views and refresh on that basis but:

You can't refresh a Process in a VP
You can't auto run a process on a query when there is no result set
I need to be able to keep the Master Form a static HTML as I need to use refreshes in there in another process

So I have kinds run out of ideas on how to fix this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Completely overthought this.

Easiest way out is to copy the HTML for a completed form - edit out all the selects, field values, etc and then paste into my static HTML panel in the VP.

VP loads, allocates space as though there were records in place then grid process triggers and overwrites the HTML with a real form. Bosh bosh, job done.

Would be nice to be able to access the form HTML to make that faster - might give it a try in V8 and see what I can pull out.
