How to remove default alternate row background colour?

I have been trying to achieve this by using an Item display rule with a condition which is always true and foreground and background set to white . However there still remain some background remnants of the alternate colour and this is not the best way to do it.

How could the css be changed so that default grids systemwide do not have alternate row colouring and are all white?
