Writing a "Forum & PM" system in Aware?

Guys, let's say you have a multi Tenant app where the tenant might want to provide his client a "Forum" system, where ONLY his clients can post/create messages, and the author can designate the thread as "Private" or "Public". If "Public", other clients can ONLY read them.

So, my question is, for a case like this would you write a "Forum" system in Aware as part of of the app or would you resort to a third part Forum system like the one AwareSoft uses, written in PHP?

Any other thoughts?

To me, it's like any business decision. A forum is just not a core aspect of the app and should be outsourced. I would (and do) use an external forum and help desk. It just doesn't make sense to develop one, which is actually very complex with lots of functions and things that AwareIM doesn't do that easily. I would encourage the use of a third party forum. Not sure, but you can probably setup a way to login through your app and pass the login credentials. For the most part, you can manipulate the forum's CSS to look and feel similar to your app, though it's sometimes good not to so users understand they are in a different system. So that's just me.

Thanks for the feedback, but as I mentioned, The multi Tenancy changes things. Another words if I write it in Aware, while the user is logged in, and goes to forum, he can see the news from the tenant admin, he can see discussions related to the company/tenant he is involved with and he only sees other members for that tenant. Plus, part of this needs to be a Private Message system that only connects to other users for that tenant.

And suppose I have a 1000 tenants, doing that in third party system, becomes a nightmare to manage.
