Ok so I'm getting an issue which has been reported on several times in the forum. Existing users are working away happily whilst new users attempting to log on just get a spinning ball
I'm still on 5.9, so here's what I've done
upgraded to Java 64 and set AIM memory to 2048 and Tomcat to 2048 - all good but the issue persists.
Input and output controllers are committing between 100 and 200 transactions per minute
There are some optimisation issues I need to address but the system doesn't seem heavily overloaded. CPU is at between 1 and 3% mostly - with occasional jumps to 25%. According to task managers, memory in use is 3.6GB (despite the above settings).
There are two Java SE binaries at 700Mb and 400Mb respectively and MySQLd is 1291.1 Mb
So far I've not seen any Out of memory issues with the Java heap (monitoring AIM and Tomcat outputs live)
Is there anything else I should be looking at to tweak? or any log files I've not yet discovered that might give me a clue as to what the problem is? Can - for instance the Max Java heap size be increased without giving more memory to AIM.
Any help would be much appreciated. Up until a few weeks ago AIM just ... well ... ran - I never had to touch it
