V8 Font size. Ability to change in V8?

BenHayat

According to this post, Eclipse provide functionality to change font size when you're running in high res. This way the text isn't so small.
https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/24621/how-to-increase-font-size-of-eclipse-globally

Inside the Eclipse.app is a setting for the font size. To make the fonts globally larger edit Eclipse.app » Contents » Eclipse » eclipse.ini and remove the line

-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.carbon.smallFonts

from the file. Save the file and restart Eclipse.

My question to support is, is V8 giving us this option to adjust the font size?

We don't know anything about this, but you will be able to modify the Eclipse .ini file, so if your info is correct it will be possible to do that.

In one of your past replies, you had mentioned that we do not need to install Eclipse though. So, will the Aware's installation provide that INI that we can alter?

aware_support

You won't have to install Eclipse, but many Eclipse files including the .ini file will be automatically included into the Aware IM installation.

One last question. Just like Eclipse offers 32 or 64 bit installation, which one will we get with Aware's installation, the 32 or 64 bit?

Thanks!

Ben, any app that runs under Eclipse, allows you to change the font size / color for certain groups, i.e. menus, editors, etc.

Also, there are many flavors of Eclipse out there. I would assume you COULD pick your fav. version (32bit, 64bit, newer versions, some with a slightly diff. looking UI) and then import the Aware Eclipse package.

Of course, you know what happens when you make an assumption!

Bruce, I'm not sure what you mean by "Any app running under Eclipse". And I'm not sure if you know that V8 is developed with "e4 Project" which creates an standalone app which does not require Eclipse installation.
Having said that...

, again, I'm not sure why I need to pick any flavor of Eclipse to install, since V8 is a standalone custom OEM version created by Awaresoft.

Ben, you are right. I didn't know that Aware was created under E4. Silly me for making an assumption.
