Question on New Jasper in V8

First, thanks for the videos of the conference. Was it discussed whether our reports have to be recreated in v8 or can we simply expect a new/improved designer that works with our current reports?

You wont' need to re-create anything. The Report Designer in 8.0 will be very similar to what it was before with some improvements (such as the Outline View, ability to change properties of multiple elements and being able to edit reports in their own tab).

Eventually we aim to port all of the relevant features from Jasper Reports Studio to Aware IM - there is not too much difference anyway already.

Is it possible to get a snap to grid option?

Currently, there is no way to line up horizontal lines of attributes equal distances between the lines, so one has to manually shift the horizontal lines of attributes into position. This is one alignment function that is absent from the system and takes up much time when doing complex reports.

I would like to highlight a list of vertically orientated attributes and set them to say "30pt" apart from each other vertically

I have checked it out again and I don't believe it does
