Creating an object for a specific day of week

I have searched and cannot find an answer that appears to work.

I have an attribute in a business object that is days(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc). And daynumber. (1,2,3 etc) I have a rule which states if Monday 1, Tuesday 2, etc. these both work. I have a start date and end date I just want to create an object on each day that is selected by the user between the start and end date. So if the user were to select from a radio button Monday and Wednesday then an object would be created on each Monday and Wednesday between the start date and end date. It seems simple but I just can't seem to get this to work. Have been working on it off and on for over a month.

Any help would be appreciated. Also is anyone aware of a way to change the default settings on the calendar to change from AM PM to 24 hour calendar with seconds. I am going to post this last question in a separate post for easier searching b future users.

Can't you use the FOR BETWEEN syntax Bill?

CREATE MyNewBO FOR EACH DAY BETWEEN DateRange.StartDate AND DateRange.EndDate

in theory wouldn't you end up with one everyday. This wouldn't just create a record for only Sunday or Monday if they were the only two days selected on the radio button. Am I wrong? In case I was wrong in my explanation we only want to create a record for any day the user selects between Monday and Sunday for a date period and we want to allow the user to select multiple days in this date range. We are currently using a date+1 to date+7 but obviously this only creates a record every period from the original date. We have considered doing a date+1 to a date+13 to get each day selected but there has to be an easier method.

Ah... OK. I see. I misunderstood your original message.

I am thinking of building a string with the valid day numbers for which a record should be created.
Assuming Sunday = 1, Monday = 2, ..... Saturday = 7 and you had only Monday and Wednesday selected then the string would be 24.
Then call a process that uses the While semantic to nibble away at the string chopping off a number each time the record is created.

In this sample BSV:

1) Run "Create Date Pool" once. You'll select a beginning and ending date & this process will create a record for each date in that range & store it in DatePool BO. DatePool BO (that contains both date & day of week) will be used by the process creating the dates + days of week you ultimately select in #2 below. View the DatePool instances in the Date Pool tab.

2) Run "Select Dates to Create". You'll be prompted for Beg date, End date, and a switch for each day of week. This process will clear any previously created instances each time you select this menu option. Instances created will show in the "Dates Generated" tab.
