Checking if a Signature Exists

I am trying to check if a clients signature exists. My signature is captured in a Picture Attribute with the Picture represents signature switch set.

I have tried using the following:

If Tickets.ECSSignOffSignature IS UNDEFINED Then
REPORT ERROR 'Engineer must sign before Closing'

When this is run, and the Signature is not present, the error is not displayed.

Any help would be appreciated

Is the field in the database null or empty?

Are you storing in file system or db. If file system can you check the filepath is undefined?

By client i assume this is an app for your client who are engineers. Out if curiosity, do they upload the signature each time they need to sign something off?

This problem is discussed in a thread somewhere else in the forum, i cant seem to locate it but here is a workaround:
Create a SigFileSize attribute on your object and then do the following
Object.SigFileSize=FILE_SIZE(Object.Sig)

Then have a rule like this
If Object.FileSize<1 Then (this would indicate the absence of the signature)
REPORT ERROR......

I eventually implemented the FIE_SIZE suggestion and works great. The value to compare had to be increased to 529 as the files start as a blank canvas and increase in value as they are signed.
