Lots of Calendar Questions

I am just starting to use the Calendar for a business app and I have a bunch of questions for you Calendar Gurus.

1) Can I hide weekends in the Month and Week View?

2) What is "Vertical Orientation" in the "Other" menu on the query? I checked it and it seemed to make NO Difference

3). I would like to override the default popup editing with my own create process (which Aware allows me to do. ) My question is, How do I get the date that the user clicked on, since I want to default the start and end times to that?
I cant just have a Create ApptObj then Edit ApptObj

Regarding #1.

I noticed on the Kendo Site http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/scheduler/index there is a 'Work Week' option in the menu bar.

Just found 'Work Week' in the docs. http://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/controls/scheduling/scheduler/overview#configuration-Views

If its anything like the other components you should be able to use javascript to tweak things. (That's what I was told for the Gantt chart)

I would not have a clue ATM how to implement this, sorry. If you find out please let us know.

#1 - James is right, you can use JS to tweak the component as you see fit
#2 - this applies to timeline views only. Vertical orientation shows resources at the top of the calendar
#3 - I believe Aware IM will automatically do this (but not too sure...)

I spent some time trying to work out how to do #3. From a form appointment no probs. New from the calendar cell no luck from aware side.

Hi,

i also have a requirement on overriding the default editing / creation of appointment on a calendar. Can you please point me in the right direction on the 'editing side' as if I use 'VIEW MyAppointmentBO' its saying that it cannot resolve the object.

If you haven't already, you might check the CRM sample application for guidance.

I figure that time populating works on the new Appt because CRM uses the default add/edit mechanism.
Once you use a CUSTOM method, I can't figure out how to get that time into my StartTime field.

Did you find out how to get the clicked date into context? This would be really useful for me too.
