Query limitiation in operation mode?

Can anyone explain why I am getting the following logged error message and corresponding warning box?
PLEASE NOTE: This only occurs in OPERATIONAL mode, TESTING mode is fine.

Exception class=com.bas.basserver.executionengine.ExecutionException message Internal error. Error reading business object. 'DATEADD' is not recognised as a functiom or procedure

for the following
FIND SupportTicket WHERE SupportTicket.Status='Assigned' AND CURRENT_DATE=DATE_ADD(SupportTicket.Due,-1)

It also occurs (complaining about DATEPART this time) for the following

FIND SupportTicket WHERE DAY_DIFFERENCE(DATE_PART(SupportTicket.StartTime),CURRENT_DATE)>6

It occurs with other business objects. I'm also getting this error with Calendar queries, again only in Operation mode.

Not near a computer so can't test but I would try switching this around...

From

CURRENT_DATE=DATE_ADD(SupportTicket.Due,-1)

DATE_ADD(SupportTicket.Due,-1)=CURRENT_DATE

i'm not sure I would have written it that way outside of Aware, so try

DUE = CURRENT_DATE+1

this certainly varies by interpreters in each language, but in some, the CURRENT_DATE-1 might be calculated ONCE, and then treated as a constant, and then compared to the database field, whereas in your way its having to do a calc on each line in the DB (ie. fetch the row, subtract 1, then compare). Even if your way WAS working, wouldn't it still take longer to execute? This doesn't answer the original Q about test mode vs. non-test, sorry.
