How do you offer End User Download link/button?

I'll be storing images, zip files and other files on my server drive (in different folders). If the logged user wants to download an image or zip file or PDF, I want to provide them a button or link that if they click on, it should display the dialog to open/save the file, just like many websites or web apps offer.

How do we do this in Aware? I'm sure (hope) this feature is available in Aware. If not, how do we provide a convenient way for user to download their assets?

I use that option, but how do I offer a link or button to end user that when it is clicked, it allows them to download the file that was stored. I want the file to be stored on the machine with a name they give it. Just like all websites, give you link to download a song or pdf or video or a zip file.

Could you please add this feature to the next version that will allow us to offer end user a link or button (n the form or grid) to download the file that was stored in the fie system? PLEASE!!!
This feature is really important for any web app to offer download of files to users.

Why not create a directory in your web server folder, save the files there with a certain name, or use the password function to rename and give them a really unique name/key, and just send them a link to it. There is no additional functionality needed.

These files will be stored in different drives than where AwareIM is installed. In fact they will be spread on multiple drives (D:, E:, and etc) as the # of files grows.

In all web frameworks, this is a built in feature and I hope we can get it in the next version.

What did you find out with testing Henrik's DISPLAY DOCUMENT idea from his post? That's the direction my mind was going as well.
