READ PROTECT Shortcut

I have a Shortcut that I want to display on a form but only for a certain condition.

However, it seems you cannot READ PROTECT a shortcut. I guess you need to READ PROTECT the root reference attribute. But, That is the attribute that I need to be able to change.

ie. IF MyRefAtt IS UNDEFINED THEN READ PROTECT MyRefAttShortcut.

When the Reference Attribute has not been selected then the Shortcut Label still shows up, which is not what I want.

Any suggestions please?

Mark, in two different cases, I had used two different ways:

a) IF (MyRefAttShortcut IS UNDEFINED OR MyRefAttShortcut='') THEN READ PROTECT MyRefAttShortcut

b) Showing the MyRefAttShortcut in an HTML cell and using
<<IF MyRefAttShortcut IS DEFINED THEN SHOW SECTION_START>>
