[solved] Update Text Box Calculates Value In Another

I have a non persisted BO purely for collecting some data to process and create other BO instances. It consists of Start, End, Quantity attributes. Ultimately I will have up to 10 of these but I'm just using the one whilst I experiment.

When I modify either Start or Quantity I want End to be calculated on the fly. Problem is the rules are not (or don't seem to be) evaluated until I come to save the form.

Is it possible to have an inline control on the form (button, drop down, whatever) to run a process that will make that calculation? I can't see how to add one.

Or is there some other recommended way?

No I wasn't. That works for an automatic, real time update , and that's OK for this particular use case (and as an aside I now sort of understand a previous post regarding circular references). Thank you for that.

For anyone else finding this - open the rule, click the Advanced tab at the bottom, check the "use rule in dynamic recalculation on forms".

I shall now split the other part of that question (inline buttons) into its own thread, as I think it's more generic than my original use case.
