New Tab features are great, but want it on default tabs also

I am finding the feature of having a tab run a process when it gets focus VERY useful, however, I can only add this when I am either opening a tab from the top menu or from a button on on a query or form. There is NO way to add that to a VP. Can that be changed? I hope so, since I have a few tabs that I always have open when the user logs on, and would like to have the option to run a process when tab gets focus.

As a work around, why not just have a dummy closeable 'fixed' tab to begin with whose content is directed to a New Tab, and is the results of a process which generates the starting content (which open in new tabs)?

Then at the end of the process, close the dummy fixed tab.

Then, if I want to have 4 tabs open when the user logs on, have that tab have 4 sections, and would have to know when the last one was run before closing them tab. Sounds kludgy.
