IMHO, regardless of the tool you decide to use, the app can be developed poorly.
I take solace in the fact that Aware IM is designed around a mainstream Stack and all the stuff that I know from past development tools took ages to design, develop and maintain (such as maintaining
relationships, PKs, FKs, cascading deletes and the like are handled beautifully in Aware. In fact it is so damn clever the way it is done that it allows much simpler logic and understanding to achieve what would
normally be highly complex. Quite simply, the design paradigm of Aware is the work of Genius in my view.
I used Magic (AKA UniPaas, eDeveloper and XPA) for 27 years and I could never have even gotten close to what I can do in Aware.
Coupled with SaaSBase (my SaaS App foundation tool) I can now often go from concept to full blown deployed SaaS application in a week or two rather than months (obviously depending on size and complexity of app)
Additionally, in my experience - as limited as it may be - I have never encountered another Vendor who is so responsive and Developer focused as Awaresoft.
There are plenty of wannabees but nothing I have seen comes even close.
I have one very complex app running with over a 1,000 users (concurrently probably max 100) with users from 5 countries, over 100 entities, in 7 languages and unlimited currencies running on a AWS t2.medium Instance with 4 Gb Ram, 100Gb SSD with MS-SQL Express on the Ec2 in Singapore and it works a treat. Has been running flawlessly for over 3 years. Additionally this app is in V6 and things have improved significantly since then.
I cannot imagine finding or using anything else in the foreseeable future.
