Hi Guys, did this ever get sorted. I got myself into a situation where I tweaked my app for certain customers (effectively making them custom apps (This is in V5.9) and I have pulled all the tweaks into one new master so I can get everyone back to the same level before doing the upgrade to V8.
On the master BSV everything checked out, I checked integrity, put under test and published, then exported the BSV. All good.
Then I imported to one of the customer BSV's (don't panic - actually a full copy on a different server). But was unable to put under test. AIM reported all sorts of things. Couldn't drop an attribute - make sure it exists, error converting an attribute Startduration to type endduration (which isn't a mysql type - just another attribute name in the BO)
When, however I decided to skip going to test and went straight to Publish, everything worked fine and all my data seems to be intact (more testing tomorrow)
In another test, I put the BSV to test but elected NOT to use existing data. and that worked fine (so presumably it dropped everything and rebuilt the tables from scratch.) I was then able to publish in the usual way Naturally, I can't afford for anything to go wrong on the live site and am feeling just a little nervous right now :?:
