I've always known that in programming, parentheses matter. I was reminded of that fact again this afternoon.
I have a series of 11 rules on the StudentDaySummary BO that collect info from RW_Period_Attendance & put it in the right bucket.
Initially my FIND .. WHERE .. AND part of each rule did NOT have parentheses and it provided very strange results:
FIND RW_Period_Attendance WHERE RW_Period_Attendance IN StudentDaySummary.RW_Period_Attendance AND RW_Period_Attendance.Period=10
StudentDaySummary.Period_Code_10=RW_Period_Attendance.Code
Simply adding the parentheses made the rules work like I had intended.
FIND RW_Period_Attendance WHERE (RW_Period_Attendance IN StudentDaySummary.RW_Period_Attendance AND RW_Period_Attendance.Period=10)
StudentDaySummary.Period_Code_10=RW_Period_Attendance.Code
