Sending a bulk email template to multiple customers

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if i could get some help with this,

What i am wanting to do is have a process where i can select multiple "Customers" and start a process where i can select a template and edit the template then send it in one button and it will send this email template to all selected customers with the variables in the template.

How it will look like is this

So i have a process that i run on the bottom of a query after selecting a range of customers i want to send the email to. It brings up a "ENTER NEW EMAIL PREVIEW" Business object where i can select premade templates then once created i want it to send an email to each customer.

I got it to a point where it sends an email to each customer but its only using the customers details from the first selected customer then sending the same details to all email addresses. I am missing something i do not know what :? :cry:

So my real question is what process/steps do you guys use to approach bulk emailing to "Customers" Is there a more simple way to get around this ? Please help ! :roll:

It's almost certainly new functionality you could use.
You don't want loan processing clerks at the bank working on the same loan application in 3 tabs.
The functionality described in that topic/post can prevent such a thing occurring.
If I was evaluating your app for its suitability in a banking/lending environment, the moment I could open the same application in multiple tabs, it'd be crossed of the list. :mrgreen:

Listen sounds great functionality upgrade and might even be happy to contribute but I am struggling at my question at hand.

I am in need of help with regards to a setting up a working bulk email function. :?

It sounds to me like you are trying to achieve this in to few a processes. Not sure exactly what you are doing but I would approach like this....

In a Process (Process 1)
Create or Select the email template
Call Process 2 (Template will be parameter)

Process 2,
PICK ONE OR MORE Customers
Call Process 3

Process 3 Parameters Customer and Template
CREATE email here using the passed template and
SEND Email to Customer

If you try to do it limiting to Process 2 then it will fill all the emails with the data from the last Customer PICKed I suspect

I hope this is the one and only post of this type if you don't actually help the user. That approach has not been the spirit of this forum during the 9 years I've been an AwareIM user.

Unfortunately your hopes will probably be dashed, Tom, cause it probably won't be.
I can't guarantee that.
But it's all open to personal interpretation, and depends on your demeanor/character as to how you receive it and how you take it.
You can either 'choose' to be offended and make a drama out of it, or not.

Thankyou so much for breaking that down for me and providing a helpful solution to my problem !

I was getting stuck trying to fit it all in 1 process and 2 processes.

Breaking it down into 3 processes and very clear and helpful ! : 😃 😃
