Date component

Hi,
I've an 6.x Aware applicatie which has a date attribute. A date calendar control is shown to enter a correct date, but thats seems to be to complex for some users. When using a tablet is very hard to do.
My thought was to create 3 numeric fields (day, month, year) to make it more easier. But then you can create illegal dates like 31 02 2000.

Because Aware does not have a try....catch thing I cannot check the users input easily in a proces.

Does anyone have made a simple, but good solution to avoid a date entry with the calendar control??

Update to version 7, which has a better date control on a tablet (you can even use native mobile browser control).

You can also add Advanced script to perform your own validation of any control.

Hello support, thanks for your reply.
I know that v7 is better, but in this case upgrading is a lot of work and the only problem is this date component. So I'm trying to find an easy, quick solution.
Upgrading will be done later, but for now I'm looking for an alternative in V6.

I think version 6.0 also supports advanced scripts for attribute fields forms (cannot be sure now). In this case you can enter some validation there. Or you can enter validation using a regular expression supported in attribute properties of Aware IM.
