aware_support wroteAll of these things are possible now through the Advanced script button in queries, visual perspectives etc - have you watched the tutorial about using Javascript in Aware IM?
However, your suggestion makes it possible to easily run a script before or after a process is started. I cannot see why you would need to execute a script in the middle of a process.
Yes, I know about the JS options through advanced scripts and use advanced scripts all over the place. Having this action would open up for a lot more control though of all things frontend and you know much better than I the different options this action would open up.
My initial thought when thinking about the script action was using it for status messages and notifications like for example using an external library for custom notifications (with more customisation options than the existing Aware IM DISPLAY MESSAGE etc. ones) AND having a status message bar (success/warning/info) displayed at the top of the application and have these things executed as part of a process (when something change). This is not possible today using advanced scripts (maybe using autorefresh an/or reloading panels/VP´s etc. but is not an ideal solution at all and is to cumbersome to work with).
Except for this option having this action would open up for A LOT more control over various parts of the frontend as you mentioned yourself in another post. This is the DOM manipulation part and I currently don´t know enough about DOM manipulation to give you concrete examples but my thought (and correct me if i´m wrong) is that if we have this action, we could in theory execute a script of JS that targets and changes ANY element in the DOM (or adds an element to the DOM) i.e. for example changing something in the frontend UI of an application and it would happen dynamically i.e. no need to refresh VP, panels, forms etc.. I am thinking primarily of UI related things when I think about using this action i.e changing the UI of the application and could be things like manipulate a tab, check if a tab is open, close a form or tab, add another icon and color to a query header based on something that happened in an executed process, change some style in a panel, update a js chart or some custom widget with new data, do client side things like print a document clientside etc. etc. etc. etc.. Again, you know much better than me the options it would open up.
