External document link

Mark HHP

Hey guys,

I want to upload docs to my Brief BO but I was wondering if I could store them externally, like in Dropbox or something. The database is already getting large and adding regular Brief docs will just add to the pile.

Has anyone achieved something like this?

I would store it on the hosting machine file system rather than the database but the guy who set up our server many moons ago and then disappeared has locked the Aware folder so I can't go in and make a folder to store them in or get the file path.

It's certainly possible to store documents in the file system I believe you will find documentation on that in the User's Guide and there are some posts here on the subject. I have to imagine that you could certainly store them in DropBox or Google Drive as well, but you will likely have to use their API for doing so. Here on the forum, we are all hoping you do that then tell us how.
