Styling can be performed by adding your CSS classes to your queries, forms, visual perspectives and then providing your own CSS files. It is also possible to override default CSS settings in the aware.css file and in Kendo UI styles. You cannot prevent changes to business objects etc while you are working on CSS unless you verbally agree with your team. I cannot see, however, why the work on CSS would be dependent on business objects.
