I hope this is just me, I am trying to establish a basic one to many relationship, with the children being owned by the parent - no problem there.
I want to display on the parent the total of the children - so if you imagine an invoice, I would like to display the invoice total which automatically updates as a user edits the children - could be add,delete or edit existing records.
This should all be fairly simple stuff and I thought I had it working just by having the auto refresh settings on the parent objects form to auto refresh if the children form is saved. This works fine for Edit but not Delete or Add.
I have tried setting my rule on the parent to have "use rule for dynamic recalculation on forms" etc doesn't seem to matter what I do it doesn't work as simply as I think it should?
My rule to update the value is ok, if I manually trigger the refresh it works, its just how to get the refresh to trigger when adding or deleting a child record.
I have attached a simple but ugly little bsv to demonstrate the issue...
EDIT I didn't add the file as no matter what I make the extension it tells me not allowed...
