►Q◄ Does the size of BSV affect execution speed of BSV?

Suppose I have a bsv that has 3 BOs (Categories), and each BO has 5 queries and 5 processes. This can be considered as a the base.

But as time goes the BOs and queries and processes may get replicated over and over for different categories.
NOTE:

My question is if my base is replicated to have 50 categories (150 BOs, 250 Queries and 250 processes), Will this BSV run and respond slower just because I have allot more BOs and queries and processes or it shouldn't matter at run time?

I'm sure some of you guys started with a small app and has grown allot, do you notice a considerable speed when asking Aware to show a form or execute a process or query?

No, it shouldn't matter

We have approx. 2400 objects, 5500 forms, 3000 odd queries and just as many processes with the bsv at around 10meg.

The only obvious issue is the saving and integrity checking and publishing of the bsv.

Thanks Chris. The saving, IC and publishing is fully understandable. My main concern is when a form or query or process is called, whether it takes a long time for Aware to find it and load it.
Thankfully, Aware keeps the configuration in DB that is indexed to fetch.

AwareSoft should use these figures for its website to show enterprise prospects the size of apps the can build.

My main concern is when a form or query or process is called, whether it takes a long time for Aware to find it and load it.

There is no issue that we have found running processes or queries, regardless of the size of the bsv, it pretty much instant and the UI is much faster in V7 than V6. We have been using aware for over 6 years roughly now.

We do have to use 64bit and the config tool have to be set to 4g to handle its size. There server is set at about 4 to 5 gig to prevent out of memory issues. That is something to consider.

Yes, regarding 64-bit. Now that V7.1 is going to support 64-bit, memory issues should be less.
