I updated the post:
One way would be to create a Session object and use Login/Logout Notification's to update info to their instance, as well as updating activity info to their Session instance while they're using it.
But you would still need them to create a unique Session 'Handle'/Nickname/Code/Key (whatever you want to call it) and password which they can enter to recall/reinstate their Session instance, which would be used to FIND their session instance.
And this Handle and Password would need to be stored in attributes of their instance of Session object.
Remember that Session_ID() can be used at any time to get the ID of the current session, and you will have updated the current Session ID in an attribute of their instance of Session object when they 'login' using their Handle and password. Login could be via a Modal type screen or even non-Modal.
Thereafter every time you want to update information about their activities you'll have to FIND Session where SessionID=Session_ID(), and thereafter update the relevant attribute.
BenHayat wroteSince a "Guest" user is an unregistered user with no data record in DB, what are the best ways to read/write info about the guess user's activities that can be re-used in subsequent visits in AwareIM? In ASP.Net we had this built in ASP using local cookies functions. But at server side code, we could access this data (cookies values) at runtime.
Thanks!
