So, the CHILD process controls how many times it's called.
If the parent has:
FIND BOA Where 2 records are found
FIND BOB Where 10 records are returned
then
SomeProcess
If Both are defined as inputs then "SomeProcess" will be called 20 times
If only BOA is defined as an input then it will be called twice
If only BOB is defined as an input then it will be called 10 times
I guess I have to re-watch the CONTEXT video again (and take notes this time!)
But I am confused with:
2). FIND BO1 Where.... (2 rows are returned)
SomeProcess which does:
BO1.attribute = BO1.relatedRecordAttribute * 2 (Assume each record has different related records, will this work correctly)
answer: 2) Assuming that the process takes BO1 as input the process will be called twice for every instance of BO1 independently. BO1.attribute of each instance will be set to BO1.relatedAttribute ... of this instance
Why twice? so if there were 10 records returned from the FIND BO1 would it be called 100 times? is it once for each combination? (damn, starting to get a headache thinking about this.. maybe I need more tequila??)
