I need to upload large quantities of telephone numbers in batches, each batch being a contiguous range. The user will be entering a start number followed by a quantity which can be anywhere from 1 to 1million. Most common though is 100, 1000 or 10,000.
It would be ok for the very large quantities to be farmed off to another process for "later on", but the smaller amounts would need to respond to the UI in a timely manner.
In SQL land I would create a file for use with LOAD INFILE and the uploads would be relatively quick. What techniques should I be looking at in AwareIM for the larger numbers? I suppose what I'm really asking is has anyone done this before and are there any obvious gotchyas?
