Hi everyone,
2 questions with regard to producing xls documents.
1) simple I have setup an attempt at doing an excel document that uses an existing query, the query works when run as a query but when I run it via documents with excel aware produces an excel file but it is empty? Its picking up the template correct - I can tell because I colored a cell red and that is in the output from aware. The excel document is very simple, Cell and Text within Cell below :
CELL A1 <<LIST_TABLE_START('TestExl')>><<TestExcel.Descript>>
CELL B1 <<TestExcel.Onex>><<LIST_TABLE_END()>>
The query TestExl returns 2 rows of data when run in the browser just as a query.
When I run the excel template off a menu I get nothing... what am I missing?
Question 2) Obviously need excel on a machine to develop the templates, what do I need in production? does the server need excel on it? or is there just some components that need to be installed?
I tried find the answers to these in the pdfs/help and searching this forum but no bingo...
