Feature Request: ONE click into test

The config tool would be GREATLY enhanced with a default/preferences page where you can set some common things - this has been discussed before.

One thing we would greatly love is a one click into test, instead you have to wait for the confirm screen (for options like check integrity and use data) - which we always leave - which takes a minute, you then go off and do something else, read the forum etc, come back and are still looking at the annoying confirm screen. Would be very happy to bypass this.

It's little but you do it enough, and it adds up in lost time.

It would be great to be able to set some default settings that are applicable only for test mode, so for instance you could set default loggedinregularuser and then run queries etc direct from the configurator...
As someone really new to aware I do spend a heap of time flicking to test mode, logging in etc just to check 1 change is right... I imagine more time spent in aware will equal less time doing this tho.

you only have to login once the first time you run the bsv in test mode.
thereafter, once you have "made bsv available for testing" (lightning bolt button), you don't have to click the last button ("login to the operation mode") and run it (open a tab in a browser) again per say.
Just switch to the browser and refresh/reload the tab in which the application is still present, and no re-login will be required.

This depends on the license you have. If you only have a single developer license, you have to logout and re-login; otherwise aware server there's still an active session. You have to restart everything, config tool, AwareIM server.

I can't remember if it was in V5 wherein the Tomcat and the AwareIM server can be restarted from the AwareIM Control Panel.

What you can do is setup bookmarks on your browser

Yeh I am onto doing this and have book marks to login to the various login levels etc, its still a process to go through when I am testing it too often at the moment - due to learning I will admit it will get much better the more time i spend in the tool 🙂

As time goes by Cal you will find that you need to put into Test much less often.

When I first started, I found myself putting under Test for every small change I did just to see the result.

Now days I have more confidence in myself and can usually do much larger chunks of work and then test all the changes which
saves a lot of time.

That being said.... i still want 1 Button to Test.
