why does DPLAY MESSAGE read from right to left?

DISPLAY MESSAGE SEARCH_COUNT + ' New Items'

when there are 12 items found, I see "New Items12"

I dont think you can use SEARCH_COUNT like that Bruce.

Just do a COUNT Item WHERE...

Will have a look later on

Thanks Mark, but I don't want a count. I need to retrieve the records and IF there are any found, then I call a process. I was using the DISPLAY MESSAGE to aid in debugging. I know I can have logic like:

IF SEARCH_COUNT > 0 THEN blah..blah..

so figured I could also display it. and it sort of works...
