Today, I found out, I was declined of the job, because "Ben is over qualified and we're not sure we can keep him challenged". π
Are they for real? :?
My resume shows how many different projects and jobs I've done in the past 30 years. Then they ask me, "Tell us, what you bring to the table". I listed, what I can do to add value to their company.
They then asked how I'd go about designing a SaaS app, and I showed briefly, how to get started.
Then, any questions I asked, about how they do their current software development, I got no answer.
At the end (an hour and half later) the VP, gets up and shakes my hand and thanks me for coming, but never says anything, what the next step would be. So I asked... "What's the next step?", he says, he will have a meeting with his team and makes a decision the next day and will inform the recruiting company. I said, fair enough and thanked him and left.
Next day (Friday) comes, and by noon I didn't hear nothing. Sent an email to my agent and he calls me back, that the client thinks "You're over qualified and they're not sure if you stay there long enough".
So you asked, "Are they real?", and that is the exact question and confusion I've had since yesterday.
There was a job that they wanted me to work on setting up an Azure and I told them I didn't have experience in Azure and I was declined of the job, and I understood it perfectly and moved on.
But as my parents always told me "Everything happens for a good reason". π
