Newbie question

Hi Everyone, Another long time Magic developer here who has begun with AwareIM.
So far looks really good, quite a learning curve but I am getting things done albeit a little slowly.

One simple (should be simple) thing I can't work out, and can't find either in the forum or the pdfs is when doing a query why can't I display attributes of a 1 to 1 linked business object. Basically if I am querying an Invoice Header BO and it has an Attribute to the Company BO, I can't see Company.Name to display it even though it is available in the where clause? Clearly missing something fundamental here....

For this try to create an attribute "Shortcut" type.

I suggest watching the video tutorials, will speed up things.

In Magic, we created links to get access to data in another table. In Aware, you create a "Shortcut" to company name in your order object ONCE and it becomes part of your order object and can use it as if it was an order order attribute. And you can even go deeper than 1 level.
Search in user guide for Shortcut.

Thanks, I have watched a lot of the videos, clearly this didn't stick in my mind though and its a little hard to watch multiple video's again to find an answer once one gets stuck...

Have you been through the Library Case Study?

No thoroughly, would you recommend this over the videos, the problem I have with videos is it all makes sense while watching them and quickly goes to custard once applying it - this isn't an aware thing, I have found it with all different subjects, its probably just me, learn much better by doing that watching
