There is an initiative about to provide for independent smtp settings per account, all good. Additionally, there is a value for RETURN-PATH: Return-Path is an important field contained in the mail header, together with other fields like From, Subject, Date, Envelope-to and Delivery Date, that shows the email address where bounces should be delivered. For a multi-tenant system such as mine, this would be very valuable. My app sends email on behalf of many clients having many email domains. Applying the user's email address as the from address is not a good practice for email delivery. But by applying it as the return-path address would be a very nice addition. I am no expert on this - just looking for improved email implementation.
