Run Test Mode on Server

Here is my situation...

Windows 2008 server
Aware running Port 80 with AwareIM folder renamed to 'app'
Aware running as a service.

I use ClientStarter to open configurator.

If I try and put the application into Test with http://localhost/app/logonAdmin.html I get Site cant be reached error.

Can anyone please advise how to make this work please.... if it is indeed possible?

Mark, after you had changed Tomcat port from 8080 to 80 in Control panel, do the following and when you click on the test button to bring up your browser, it will work with port 80.

Go to C:\Aware\bin and in UIConfig.props file add
OperationMode=http://localhost/AwareIM/logonAdmin.html
But in your case you may have to change the "AwareIM" to your new naming and the same thing with html file name.

Mark, are you SURE you dont have a standard web browser set to port 80. What happens if you try to go to "localhost" on the server without running aware?

In UIConfig.props making sure the following lines are in there fixed the problem...

OperationMode=http://localhost:80/app/logonAdmin.html
WebServer=localhost
WebAppBase=app
HostServer=localhost

Obviously the browser does not respect the SSL certificate but that was to be expected on localhost.

Mark, is there supposed to be a forward "\" after http?

Not sure why Ben. I can only assume it is escaping the ':' character.

But it works for me.

After further testing, this also works and makes more sense....

OperationMode=https://localhost/app/logonAdmin.html

notice https rather than http

Now, we're talking. And I bet without SSL presence, This
OperationMode=http://localhost/app/logonAdmin.html
would have also worked.
