Formatting Numbers into String

I have some numeric and string constants that I want to use to update a string field. The problem is I lose all of my numeric formatting. What is the trick to control the formatting when concatinating fields.

i.e. I have a qty field (numeric, integer), a u/m field (string) a price field (2 decimal places).
When I have the following rule: BO.stringFIeld = BO.qty + ' ' + bo.UM + ' @ ' + BO.price

I get 1234.0 FBM @ 4567.0

What is the trick to control the formatting?

Something like
BO.stringFIeld = AS_STRING(BO.qty,0) + ' ' + bo.UM + ' @ ' + AS_STRING(BO.price,$#.00;($#.00))

Or if that doesn't work try,

BO.stringFIeld = AS_STRING(BO.qty@0) + ' ' + bo.UM + ' @ ' + AS_STRING(BO.price@$#.00;($#.00))

and thats what I thought Mark, but the @ sign wont let me save it. when I use a comma, like:

AS_STRING(BO.attr, '0,000')

It pays no attention and still displays the number as 1234.0
