there must be a drawback or other quirk which occurs as a result of the script?
does that script both rectify the Toolbar button issue and retain the input control?
Well, so far the tests don't show any side effects. I don't need the input control as of yet. My big problem has been, test users (including myself) keep clicking on the "Icon & Wording" part of the menu item (from years of menu usage), and then we have to mentally switch thinking that we need to click on the down arrow.
But the funny part is (part of human brain), when I/user sees a dropdown box, we click on the down arrow automatically, but not on the menu. 🙂
Note: The only side effect that I noticed so far, is that, if you click and get a drop down of menu items and you click on the wording part again, it won't close the menu list, where as the Downarrow works properly.
