Calendar display

I'm a newbie in using the calendar display. So I have Appointment object owned by Coordinator object. I can see in the Appointment table that the relationship is properly created. I have a query that displays Appointment using calendar presentation. The query is:

Appointment.Coordinator.ID=LoggedInCoordinator.ID

Nothing displays on the query. If I create an Appointment from the calendar, still nothing, though the Appointment is created just fine.
What is it I don't know?

My guess is that the Appointment is created but orphaned. I ran into something similar to this.

When you create the Appointment from the calendar, how are you associating a Coordinator with the Appointment?

If you create another query of All Appointments, do you see all the appointments?

Take a look at the sample apps using a calendar. I have seen (not reported yet) what seems to be a bug, when using a resource on appointments the events are NOT displayed so see if you have a resource defined possibly. I will report today or tomorrow.

I have confirmed that the object is not orphaned. The database clearly shows the proper relationship. Plus, when I open the appointment object, it show the correct coordinator in the drop list, properly assigned. For HPL123, I don't get the meaning of using a resource... Can you elaborate?

Kingsley, take a look in the actual query (resources fields). I will do some more testing tomorrow and if it's a bug report it.

The problem I was referring to is in v7 and I had many combinations of calendar queries in v6 (working) so not sure what the problem you have is. Try looking at the setup of the calendar queries of the sample apps as I think the exact scenario you are trying to setup is covered there somewhere (maybe CRM staff schedule?).

There was no orphaned instance of the Appointment BO.

While the forum post said the query was: FIND Appointment WHERE Appointment.Coordinator.ID=LoggedInCoordinator.ID

the actual BSV query was: FIND Appointment WHERE Appointment.Coordinator.ID=Coordinator.ID

It was missing LoggedIn

Easy mistake to make.
