Horizontal TIling in Reports

Has anyone ever found a way or workaround to tile images Horizontally in a report? I don't want each image to take up only 150px height and be left with a large blank space next to each one. Is there any way to have a Photo Sub report that tiles images horizontally across my main report?

Any tips will be appreciated. I have thought about building HTML Reports and then converting to PDF but performance wise I'm not sure if that will fly and also, not sure how to convert HMTL to proper PDF that looks like a actual report.

Basically, you are outside of what any report engine is designed to do. Consider creating a temporary object and populating the attributes with the images you need, let's say four columns per object, or however many fit on the row based on the size you choose. Then make a sub report to print out however many rows you may have populated.

There is already a Transpose feature (used it once a long time ago and cannot even remember how) that will print a column of records across the page rather than down the page.
Might be worthwhile checking that out if you only have a few records.

Hi Mark, wow that sounds great... However this is for an app that we are still running in 5.9.
I checked the documentation and couldn't find the word 'Transpose' in any of those. Was that the function's name or is this only something that was added in V6?

When I tried it, it was in 5.9 Hein.

Not near a computer but will dig around tomorrow.
It is buried in there pretty deep somewhere.

Maybe Support can point you to it.

Not sure if this will give youthe result you wanted and you may need to play around with it a bit, but.....

In the Report Properties of the Sub-Report..... set the Layout (default is Vertical) change to Horizontal.

Rows of data are printed across the page rather than down the page.
