V7 - A great new feature has been added...

I had recently asked Support to consider changing the "Error" message from using Browser's dialog to Aware's error message, like "DISPLAY MESSAGE". Well, it is now implemented in the latest build, 2133.

No more that ugly browser dialog... :mrgreen:
If a session has timed out, user gets am Aware message now.

Nothing different than before. The error message now shows like a DISPLAY MESSAGE, instead of Browser's dialog.
I tested against validation and timeout session. But some other areas may not be covered yet.

I would like to have a short msg on the top then a more detailed one in the body, so it might say "Duplicate Value" on the top then in the body, it could say "Sorry, but there is already an order number 1234 on the system."

Then I would have a huge shit eating grin on my face.

Wait... Wait... for that There would also be a 3rd optional parameter of an icon to display, either an ERROR, WARNING or INFO.

I'm still seeing Browser's dialog popping up (for example when deleting records). Could you please switch over all the Error and Warning messages to ONE standard Aware messing system by release time?
These inconsistencies makes our product look unprofessional and when users ask, there is nothing we (as aware developers) can do to change it.

As Bruce had suggested, the messaging system should have optional parameters to provide meaningful message to user.
I think V7 should be a UI upgrade and Messaging is a big part of the UI.

10000+ . The consistency thing is very important and as Ben points out, a single inconsistency like this in a professional app ia a big NO NO. Now v7 is closer to a complete consistent experience than ever before (and also on all devices) and really hoping the focus on these important things continue.

Bruce's suggestions are great and having these options as well would be a big plus.

I also agree with you guys.
Apps which are communicating with users ( infos, warnings, even errors) are loved by users and makes devs life's easier.
