ENTER NEW or CREATE and EDIT object just after

Sounds a very dummy question but how to enter a new obkect and edit it just after ? I need to launch a process and as you now processes are not allowed form a pop-up. This does not work as the created object disapears and the user has to search it using the search form :

ENTER NEW Customer
EDIT Customer USING Edit

Do the following

ENTER NEW Customer USING NewForm
UPDATE Customer
EDIT Customer USING EditForm

Try UPDATE Customer after ENTER NEW Customer.

Niet...no luck. I am launching the CreateCustomer process from the VP_Administrator. It opens the New Customer form and disappears after saving. It should open the new entered data.

I am so focused on complex projects that I forgot the basics 🙂

I just tested it and works

First aware creates form shows in Popup window.
User enters data, hit the Save button

Edit form show in popup window with data.

I forgot to mention that I tested it in V7. That's what I had up and running now.

I've tried with v6 and suppose it is the same with v7. It works but due to the pop-up we don't see the available Processes attached to the BO...

I need a solution where the BO is created and opens-up the Edit form in a new Tab.

I hear you... in V7 we get the option of popup or "default" tab, which causes problems.
I have asked support to give us one more option as "New Tab". You should also send this request to support to give us "New Tab" as the third option. This way, they know more people need it.
In V6, that's how I do it from process. Create, update, edit all in popup and works. Sorry couldn't be more help!

Correct , let's make it a feature request :

ENTER NEW or CREATE a BO
see the EDIT form in a NEW TAB

For now I've set-up a so uggly way to do it that I won't explain the details here 🙂
