BASDBTEST to BASDB

I guess I know the answer but thought I would ask anyway.... just in case.

Does anyone know an easy way to get all the Data in BASDBTEST for and app copied over to BASDB please?

You can use Navicat's ( navicat.com ) database sync options.

Mark, for starter, be sure to start your BSV with it's own database. It makes it a lot easier to port from test to production.

What Ben said.....and use a database engine where you have a tool like SSMS or PHPMyAdmin. With SSMS, you can right click the database, and use Generate Scripts to script out the objects you find interesting, then tweak that script, if needed, and run it against your production database.

One of the problems, is that the testDB prefaces ALL tables with "BASTESTDOMAIN'YOUR APP NAME'_"
you probably want to make your table names MORE readable in your runtime system. (maybe not. Maybe you will want to know all of the Aware Tables)

Yes! When you create an Export script, you then need to remove that prefix name, so you will only have the table name left.
