remove "powered by aware" on screen

BLOMASKY

In the bottom center and also on the status line I see "powered by aware" Can I make them go away? (and is it possible to add any of my fields to the status line or is it just "hardwired"

thanks

It is a setting in the Visual Perspective and only available on Developer version, I believe.

To remove it, go to your theme and uncheck the powered by. As far as custom fields, I don't think so.

Hi Bruce, I think you can done it with my trick but it's like debugger mode 😃
Remember "DON'T touch any code" except you know it 😉

There is 1 file you should open and changed it. I use Notepad++ because it's easier.

Open this file C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM\aware_ext\aware.js (change the drive C if your AwareIM installation are different with me) and find this code

function(){return"Powered by &nbsp;<a href='#' onclick='(new AwareApp.AboutAction (null)).run ();'>Aware IM</a> \r\n"}

Just change it like you want,
example :
function(){return"hardwired"}

Don't forget saved it and refresh your browser 😉
