mrbdrm as you now, Speed are easy to achieve with high end dedicated server. but no matter what your speed is the most important thing is availability of the service. currently AwareIM is "single point of failure" i wold love to see how other Aware users handle this major issue without compromising speed.
kklosson This is certainly true, but it's no different than most other application servers including ColdFusion, WebLogic, WebSphere or any other. And there is no evidence that the AwareIM server is any less resilient than any of those.
mrbdrm is it possible to install two or more instances and do DNS fail over? i dont think we need to sync files between servers.
kklosson Probably yes - but I've not explored that. You can alternatively set up a second AwareIM server with a load balancer which would have the same effect. There is documentation on that in the Installation Guide in the AwareIM\Docs folder.
